Thanks to generous funding from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, Washtenaw County Children’s Services, Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation, the Teen Center Without Walls (TCW2) and Washtenaw Area Teens for Tomorrow (WATT) proudly present:
This is the third annual Teen Arts Festival, and will be held at the What Is That Art Gallery, located at 130 W. Michigan Avenue (at N. Washington) in Ypsilanti. The Opening Ceremony will be December 5th at 7pm and the attire is business casual. Prizes and awards will be handed out during the Closing Ceremony on December 14th at 3pm. The gallery will be open for art viewing from the 6th through the 13th during normal gallery hours (Monday –Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday – Saturday 1pm – 7pm ). This year, over 125 pieces of artwork were accepted from over 14 different high schools!
The Teen Arts Festival is open to the public. Please stop on by and cast your vote for your favorite piece of art or for your favorite artist. Ballots are available for you to help determine the People's Choice Award.
The art in the show will be judged by Representatives from the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University art school’s admissions offices, as well as the Executive Director for the Ann Arbor Art Fair, and the National Society of Arts and Letters. Prizes will be awarded to the top artist in each of ten categories, Best in Show, and People’s Choice Award.
