9th Annual Department Golf Challenge – With a WATT Twist

WATT County Employees on a golf cartand Washtenaw County are pleased to announce the 9th Annual Department Golf Challenge – With a WATT Twist!  Washtenaw County is hosting their annual employee golf outing but this year the $10 nominal per player participation fee and all other proceeds go to WATT!!

During the event WATT will be responsible for getting hole sponsor donations ($100) from local businesses, providing an information booth, and loading golf gear onto the golf carts.  These tasks will be performed by members of WATT.

This golf outing is another example of collaboration between WATT, Washtenaw County, and Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation.  "We've been working with WATT for several years now, most recently at the very successful “Rolling Hills Youth Day” that brought out more than 300 kids. That day, like other WATT events we've seen, went so smoothly. It was well-marketed and well-run by the teens in charge. It’s that type of empowerment - those important skills - that we want to support. The Golf Outing is another opportunity to do just that,” says Parks & Recreation Director Bob Tetens.

100% of the money goes to W.A.T.T. The event, that includes a round of golf, a cart, a free catered lunch, prizes and bragging rights for some department or program out there, is on Parks & Recreation’s tab. Support for the County Department Golf Challenge is also provided by Prudential Retirement and Iron Capital Advisors – companies that provide retirement services to Washtenaw County employees.  We appreciate the help WATT receives from Washtenaw County, Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation, and local businesses which allows us to continue planning our youth development activities.
